Tails being added to Sonic CD
Tails will be added to Sonic CD, letting you take the role of the mutant fox for your second playthrough.
The Sonic CD port coming to various devices this year will include a little two-tailed extra. Tails, the sidekick fox who arguably started the trend of Sonic's overlarge cast of animal characters, will be available to play once you've cleared the game once. Though the game is highly regarded as one of the best classic Sonic games, Tails was conspicuously missing from the original.
Sega has still been quiet on a release date for the game, but recently announced that you can snag the game early with certain GameStop tablets. If you were already in the market for a Samsung Galaxy, Acer 100, or ASUS Transformer, and you're a Sonic fan, you can go grab one already and play the game early.
The game revolves around stopping Dr. Eggman as Sonic tends to do, but Sonic CD added the twist of a time travel element, letting your actions make stages easier or harder. It's due on PC, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Phone. Of course, by its nature the game is named after an old and unimpressive storage format, but just accept that as a quaint part of its charm.
