XIII: Lost Identity game 'an interactive adventure'
Developer Anuman Interactive has revealed the first batch of screens for the upcoming title XIII: Lost Identity, and it appears the game is going the route of puzzle-adventure rather than first-person shooter.
Many, including myself, hoped the announcement of a new title revolving around the conspiracy theory world of XIII would mean a shooter akin to Ubisoft's 2003 effort. Today, we've learned that is not the case.
Developer Anuman Interactive has revealed the first batch of screens for the upcoming title XIII: Lost Identity, and it appears the game is going the route of puzzle-adventure.
The batch of screens were accompanied by a short blurb on the developer's Facebook page for the title, which when translated reveals "XIII is back in an interactive adventure!" The post notes that places, characters, and plot made famous in the Belgian comic series would be the focus of the upcoming iOS and PC release.
"According to the will of Dargaud (the editor) and the authors from the comics XIII, we created an interactive adventure game to get close [to] the story," another post from the company stated. "It's an adventure made for people at large, just like the books."
More screens for the game can be found on Anuman Interactive's Facebook page.
We're still holding out hope for voice work from XIII veterans Adam West and David Duchovny.
