The PlayStation Vita will be in your hands on February 22nd. But, if you plan on doing more than tweeting and checking in on Foursquare, you might want to pick up some games for the system. While the launch library is still being formed, Namco Bandai has announced plans to release three games for Sony's new handheld at launch.

"Namco Bandai Games will be delivering top-tier content for the launch of the PS Vita in a very big way," Carlson Choi, VP of Marketing, said in a press release.

The Ridge Racer franchise continues its long-time launch date fetish with Ridge Racer for Vita. The Vita version is co-developed by Namco Bandai Games and Cellius, a joint venture founded by Namco Bandai and Sony back in 2007. You'll be able to race competitively locally and via online wi-fi mutiplayer.

Touch My Katamari, arguably the dirtiest sounding title in the series so far, is also a Vita launch game. This new Katamari game will take advantage of the Vita's rear touch panel, allowing you to "stretch the ball horizontally or vertically to pick up more objects at once or squeeze through a narrow gap."

Finally, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, tops of Namco Bandai's trio of Vita launch games. Developed by Acquire, Shinobido 2 tells the story of a master assassin who must--you guessed it--kill lots of people.
