Uncharted 3 is getting its own DLC Season Pass, which includes seven (!) multiplayer add-ons for $25.

The hottest new trend in video games is DLC Season Passes. Rockstar started the trend with LA Noire, and Microsoft picked up the baton with Gears of War 3. Now, it's Sony's turn with Uncharted 3.

Naughty Dog said that there would be no single-player DLC for their latest adventure. However, that's not stopping them from planning at least seven (!) expansions for the multiplayer mode. If you want to get all of the add-ons, you can join the "Fortune Hunters Club" and score the DLC at a discount.

Available on the PlayStation Store later today for $24.99, the Season Pass will give you access to the first four multiplayer map packs, and the first three skin packs. The first release will be available in November, shortly after the game ships to stores.

So how does it work? Once you purchase the pass on the PlayStation Store, you'll get notified via XMB messages. "With each DLC release you will receive an XMB message on your PS3 linking you directly to the content on the PlayStation Store," the official PlayStation.Blog details.

The total value of the DLC will be over $45, meaning you'll be saving over 45%. In addition to the DLC, the Season Pass will also include a Fortune Hunters Club XMB theme.

I would be in for this if this was for single player.

Yeah, no thanks. Uncharted 2 might be pretty close to my favourite game of all time but I just didn't care for the MP. I'd gladly have paid $24 for a single player expansion back.

That struck me as odd as well. Everyone raves about UC's single-player, but I never hear anyone talking about MP.

The Co-op modes were actually excellent, and the versus was pretty solid. It's not gonna get the COD crowd though.

Yeah, this. What a *fantastic* single-player game but (like everyone else, it seems) I couldn't give a rats ass about MP. It just doesn't work well.
