Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 'Heroes and Heralds' mode detailed
Details and media for a new, free, post-launch downloadable mode for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 called "Heroes and Heralds" have been revealed at the New York Comic-Con.
Producer Ryota Niitsuma revealed some new post-launch DLC for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 called 'Heroes and Heralds' at the New York Comic-Con last weekend. The content, which will be available for free after the game's November 15 launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, adds a team-based mode for both single and multi-player that pits Heroes (defending Earth) against the rival forces of Galactus' Heralds.
According to the Capcom blog, players will be able to unlock new abilities with upgrade cards in Heroes and Heralds, and equip their team of characters with new powers. It sounds similar to the newly announced gem system for Street Fighter x Tekken.
We've also got two new trailers for the game, the first of which is an extended version of the game's cinematic trailer, and the second, which teases the upcoming Heroes and Heralds DLC.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 15 for the suggested retail price of $39.99. The release date of the free Heroes and Heralds DLC has yet to be revealed.
