Ni No Kuni gets subtitled for western release
Level-5 has registered for a trademark for Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The game is due out in North America early next year.
The PlayStation 3 RPG Ni No Kuni is awfully pretty, but the name isn't exactly welcoming to western audiences. Now it seems that Level 5 has registered a new trademark in the US, for "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch." That subtitle should make for easier marketing when the game releases in early 2012.
Siliconera noticed the trademark for the PS3 game, and notes that Level-5 hasn't issued a trademark for the DS version, The Jet Black Wizard. It seems unlikely that we'll get that version, since Level-5 has yet given any indication that it will come out here.
The game is being produced with Studio Ghibli, so you may recognize the art style from animated features like Ponyo and Spirited Away, among others.
