Fez delayed into 'early 2012'
Charming world-spinning indie platformer Fez has been delayed once again, this time into "early 2012."
Charming indie platformer Fez has once again slipped into another year, with the Xbox Live Arcade title now slated for release some time in "early 2012." Still, chin up, developer Polytron Corporation has also released a lovely new "long screenshot" video of a dark and stormy night.
"Oh, and FEZ is delayed to early 2012," creator Phil Fish casually mentioned in unveiling the new video, which you can see below.
It's not the first time Fez has rolled over into a new calendar, as it was originally due in 2009, then 2010, next 2011, and now 2012. Still, it'll all amp up the dramatic tension in Indie Game: The Movie, which chronicled parts of the development of Fez, as well as Braid and Super Meat Boy.
There has been talk of a PC version at times, but the only platform formally announced by Polytron and publisher TrapDoor is Xbox Live Arcade.
If you want to see actual Fez gameplay, point your peepers at five minutes from the PAX East 2011 demo build. Fez is getting its first showing outside the USA at the GameCity festival in Nottingham, England, for Brits who fancy giving it a bash.
