Final Fantasy XIII-2: two time travel trailers
Square Enix has unveiled two more trailers for Final Fantasy XIII-2, following the announcement that the game is hitting North America on January 31.
At this year's Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix made the formal announcement of a release date for Final Fantasy XIII-2. It's coming to North America on January 31. But lest you think the company has lost its penchant for the cinematic, the company released not one but two new trailers today.
The two videos, Despair and Promise, running on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 respectively, show off a bit of combat sandwiched between long periods of cinematic sequences. Check them out below.

After watching these trailers and getting an idea for the actual story in this game - I think it could work. I was very sour on FF XIII even though you had to push through 50% of the game feeling held back until you finally got to Cocoon and the battle system finally opened all the way and you could free roam.
If they keep it opened up, have half a decent story (Time travel opens up a lot of possibilities) and the gimmicks they incorporate aren't half baked I'll enjoy this one.
