Monster Hunter 4 coming to 3DS; trailer revealed
A second Monster Hunter title was announced for 3DS late this evening during Nintendo's pre-TGS 2011 media briefing. Monster Hunter 4 is in development from Capcom for Nintendo's newest handheld.
At the end of its pre-TGS 2011 media briefing, Nintendo revealed a trailer for another title in the popular Monster Hunter series from Capcom.
Little is known, other than the fact that Monster Hunter 4 will launch on the 3DS. Exclusivity has yet to be established, but if it were to be confirmed then the Nintendo 3DS is about to get a lot more popular in its homeland, where Monster Hunter is king.
The Nintendo 3DS already has a Monster Hunter title in development. Monster Hunter 3G is scheduled to launch in Japan on December 10, 2012, along with a confirmed (but not mentioned during the conference) second analog stick peripheral.
Other than some creatures scaling a wall and a logo, the trailer did not reveal anything more regarding Monster Hunter 4.

MHP3rd was December 1st of last year, and Capcom hasn't said a thing through PR or tradeshows about an overseas release. An HD remake on the PS3 was released about two weeks ago, but only in Japan.
Either there's a big disconnect between Capcom JP and Capcom US/EU, or Capcom JP sees MH as a franchise that should be Japan-only.-

3rd is currently out on the PSP - do you mean for overseas release?
If so, it's a remarkable blunder unless they add something to make it more than a PSP to Vita port. MH loyals have translated the bulk of 3rd's JP release and have been playing it for the past six months. Other gamers will be skeptical about buying it when the next game - essentially a standalone expansion - will be close to release. If Capcom bundled the Vita 3rd and PS3 3rd HD they might have something viable.
