Uncharted 3 reality show coming to Spike
Spike TV is making an Uncharted reality TV show and inviting applicants willing to trek to California in October.
Nathan Drake is portrayed as an everyman, who also just happens to have impeccable aim, climbing abilities, and luck. Spike TV has opted to open up this opportunity to a wider audience with a reality TV special based on Uncharted 3. Tentatively titled "GTTV Presents Uncharted 3: Race to the Ring," the show is set to film this fall. The cable network is looking for "fans of adventure, video game enthusiasts, puzzle solvers and risk takers." That sounds a lot like Drake, alright.
The casting call requests that you fill out the proper documentation and e-mail it along with a video, picture, or paragraph explaining why you deserve to go on the show. The page doesn't specify how many entrants will be chosen, but whoever gets in will need to be available and ready to go to California for a week on October 3. The documents also specify that you need to be 21 years or older, with a valid driver's license.
The documents don't specify a gender, so in theory the show could star a lady Drake. Depending on your orientation, your hypothetical big love scene with Elena will be either the most awkward or the best TV ever produced. Either way, we're hoping this Sony-endorsed reality show will fare better than the company's last effort, The Tester.
