Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 to get two demos
Konami has announced that PES 2012 will receive the double-demo treatment: one demo later this week based on a preview code and one in mid-September based on a near final version of the game.
There was a time when Pro Evolution Soccer (or PES) was referred to as Winning Eleven in North America, which directly coincided with the game's domination of the football (aka soccer) video game world.
Over the years, things have changed. The Winning Eleven name is gone and EA Sports has taken over the space with its FIFA franchise. It looks like Konami is looking to fight back by announcing two demos will be released for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.
The first demo for PES 2012 will be based on a "preview build" of the game, not representative of the final version. Konammi plans to launch the demo on August 24 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
To show off how each team has different "playing styles," the demo will feature six teams: Manchester United, AC Milan, FC Porto, S.S.C Napoli, Santos FC, and C.A. Panarol. The demo will feature 10-minute matches and Challenge Training elements to allow players to "practice the new control systems."
The game's second demo that will reflect "the final versions's feel and gameplay" will launch in mid-September on all platforms. PES 2012's second trial will feature Tottenham Hotspur, FC Bayern Munich, FC Internazionale Milano, Rangers FC, Club America, and Sport Club Internacional.
