Serious Sam Double D launching next week
Serious Sam Double D is coming to PC on August 30 for $7.99, and the team kicked off the announcement with a new video highlighting the Gunstacker feature.
Serious Sam Double D has gotten a release date, and it's probably coming sooner than you expected. Mommy's Best Games, Devolver Digital and Croteam sent out a joint press release today, announcing that the game will hit the PC next Tuesday, August 30. It will be priced at $7.99. Release plans for the previously announced Xbox 360 version weren't disclosed.
This is the first of three indie spin-offs for the Serious Sam series, to be followed by Kamakaze Attack and The Random Encounter. Each offers its own take on some staid game genres.
"It's been amazing to work with the Serious Sam franchise and I think fans of the series will absolutely love our unique take on a Serious Sam game," said lead designer Nathan Foutsin the announcement. "The Gunstacker is something we're all very proud of and with 80,640 different gun combinations gamers will have plenty of weaponry options in Serious Sam Double D!"
The announcement was accompanies by a new trailer highlighting the "Gunstacker" feature. It's exactly what it sounds like, but if you're still confused you can check out the informational video below.
