Warhammer 40K: Space Marine demo deploys next week

Sniveling servants of the false emperor can can walk a mile in the clonking great ceramic boots of Ultramarine Captain Titus next week with the launch of the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine demo. It'll hit PC and Xbox 360 on August 23, then PlayStation 3 on August 24.

What's more, if you've pre-ordered on PC through Steam, the demo will open up for you today. Everyone else can get access to the PC demo a day early, on August 22, by signing up for the Space Marine forums.

The demo will have two single-player sections, developer Relic explains. One's a big brawl with an Ork horde, while the other lets Titus bounce around with the Jump Pack. There's no multiplayer in the demo, so hey, read our multiplayer preview for a handle on that.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is crusading onto PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 6, published by THQ.

      Its a US only thing on steam tho if you live outside the USA you can not buy on steam not yet any way.

        It's currently purchasable in Australia also, but they want to charge us $90 USD for it. Cocks don't even have the common courtesy to give us a reacharound or a preorder discount.

      So Steam people who can play the demo now... does the game only have 1 resolution setting per aspect ratio or am I not clicking on the right thing?

        You have to change the aspect ratio and then click the resolution and it will cycle through. Also it reduces the ratios to smallest common denominators sot 16:10 is 8:5.
