Dance Central 2 releases on October 25
Microsoft has announced global release dates for the Kinect-exclusive Dance Central 2: Oct. 21 in Europe and Asia, Oct. 25 in North America, and Oct. 27 in Japan.
Make sure you have your dancing shoes ready in October, because that's when Dance Central 2 will be launching on Kinect. Microsoft has announced global release dates for the Kinect dancing sequel: Oct. 21 in Europe and Asia, Oct. 25 in North America, and Oct. 27 in Japan.
The big new feature of Dance Central 2 is simultaneous two-player dance battles. During these battles, the freestyle sections are replaced with a new "Free-4-All" mini-game. You must recall moves from the song and quickly perform them in order to score additional points in this mode.
In addition, the sequel touts new voice integration so that you can use voice commands to select songs, pause, and dictate rehearsal during the Break it Down mode. Break it Down has also been improved, with better limb tracking and customizable practice sessions, so you can focus on the moves you need to work on.
Finally, Microsoft revealed 13 new songs from the game's 40-song track list:
- Flo Rida feat David Guetta – Club Can’t Handle Me
- David Guetta feat Akon – Sexy Chick
- Daddy Yankee feat Fergie – Impacto
- Darude – Sandstorm
- Daft Punk – Technologic
- O-Zone – Dragostea Din Tei
- Bruno Mars – Grenade
- Donna Summer – Hot Stuff
- Gnarls Barkley – Run
- Lena – Satellite
- Enrique Iglesias – I Like It
- Lady Gaga – Born This Way
- Exile – I Wish for You
