Like other Horde-like modes, the game pits players against increasingly difficult waves of enemies; however, players also gain access to new weapons, armor, and support as the mode progresses. It's certainly one of the elements that has me excited for the upcoming game... that is until Attack Dogs strapped with explosives enter the picture. Does the 'annoying factor' of attack dogs really need to be dialed up to eleven?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming to the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS in November.

I definitely agree that a new engine is overdue, but they make enough changes with each release to keep it interesting. The core gameplay is what draws the masse of players, and it doesn't need much changing.
It's funny to me that BF is often a "savior" when they follow a very similar formula when it comes to sequels. Granted they have been much better with engine enhancements.
In reality they are completely different games that excel at different areas. Cod is a fast paced dm style shooter, while BF is a large scale team oriented game with average infantry combat and great vehicle integration. Apples and oranges
