Red Orchestra 2 delayed into September

Tripwire's WW2 shooter-sim sequel has been delayed by two weeks "to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve."

No strategy is static in times of war, and Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad's battleplan is no exception. Developer Tripwire Interactive announced today that the PC WW2 shooter-sim's launch has been delayed from August 30 to September 13.

"While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve," Tripwire explained. Consider it the video games equivalent of waiting two weeks for anti-tank gun support rather than advancing with only anti-tank dogs.

You can pre-order Orchestra 2 now for $35.99 from Steam, or only $31.99 if you own the original Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. There's also a fancy $50 Steam Digital Deluxe Edition, which packs goodies including beta access, WW2 reenactor playable characters for Killing Floor, and new Team Fortress 2 hats.

They're like terror drones from RA2. Titanium jaws allow them to get inside tanks, and then it's all downhill from there.

      Not terrible news.

Kind of offensive because they released this information after offering the game for sale. Seems underhanded. I would have bought the game regardless of if it was released today or the end of the year, so no big deal.

I believe I read there are some kinks with the AI? This was before this announcement so who knows whats going on.
