Child of Eden dated and priced for PS3
Q? Entertainment's latest, the beautiful music title Child of Eden, is launching on the PlayStation 3 on September 20 in North America and on September 23 in Europe.
The magical and musical world of Child of Eden, from Rez-developer Q Entertainment has finally been given a release date on the PlayStation 3.
The brainchild of legendary game designer and music creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi is set to arrive on Sony's platform on September 20 in North America and on September 23 in Europe.
In North America, the game is slated to launch at $49.99 [via IGN]; however, Edge is reporting that the European release of the game will carry a much smaller asking price. Ubisoft's own online shop prices the game at €19.99 (approx. $28). It's unclear if the Xbox 360 version will see a price-cut in September.
Despite critical acclaim, Child of Eden failed to resonate with gamers at retail. According to Joystiq, the NPD Group has revealed Q Entertainment's latest sold a mere 34,000 units in its debut month.

I was very interested in this game but two things held me back from purchasing it.
1) The $50 price tag was FAR to high for this game. This should have been a $19.99 downloadable title... tops.
2) Kinect Kinect Kinect. This game was put forward more like a big Kinect advertisement than anything else. I don't have a Kinect, nor do I want one. Since this game was designed with the Kinect in mind, I figured that the experience would be inferior on a real controller.
Bottom Line: I'll wait until this hit $9.99 and check it out. It's really too bad, because Rez HD on the 360 was an extremely fun game. I was hoping this would be something like Rez.
