Batman: Arkham City trailer showcases Riddler

Rocksteady has released a new Batman: Arkham City trailer, this time showcasing the Riddler's homicidal plan to prove he's smarter than the Dark Knight.

The world painted by Rocksteady in Batman: Arkham City is all about taking familiar Batman characters and making them a few shades darker. In the case of a wacky puzzle-obsessed villain like the Riddler, that involves making him a lot more murdery than usual, as a new trailer from European site PC Guru can attest.

Riddler takes a distinctly slasher film vibe in this trailer, setting up elaborate death traps for innocent civilians, and daring Batman to prove he's smart enough to save them. It's twisted, but it makes enough sense for a lunatic narcissist. Check out the trailer below to see for yourself.

What he said. For good games, the long slow hype up is so silly sometimes.

That trailer did a pretty good job of masking some very mediocre voice work.
