Square Enix has released yet another dev diary, this time focusing on the various cities you can travel to in the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Detroit is the home of the augmentation revolution, an analogy to the rise of the automobile in the 20th century. Montreal is home to Picus, the leading media organization in the world (and also real-life home of developers Eidos Montreal). Hengsha, an island of Shanghai, features Tai Yong Medical, featured in last week's dev diary.
One of the more fascinating stats revealed in the video is the sheer amount of content created for the game. There are 100 different brands created for the game, in order to give an authentic feeling to the world. There are also over 1300 props so that the developer could fill the world with "clutter. Loads of crap everywhere." Apparently, the future isn't quite a squeaky clean place to live.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution launches on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 August 23.

The graphics look shitty period. I'm fine with that, I'm there for gameplay. I'm not concerned about interface. The game isn't that complicated. It's not an MMO. I know that the devs have been trying their very best to make the PC platform function like it should. I know the interface won't be consolized. Yet the graphical fidelity is subpar even for a console game.
There are instances where going PC will give you huge net benefits (big mod communities, completely seperate texture set, etc) , this game isn't one of them.-

My mentality is do whatever platform you prefer because there's no real benefit anywhere. Most of my friends are on XBL, I can lend them the game, etc. After the 360 I've enjoyed gaming more with less frustration. It's just a preference now. Games like DIRT 3, Witcher 2 and in the future BF3 will be perfect for my PC.
In the end we will both either love or hate the game for the same reasons. It's the same game and it's graphics will look subpar on my TV and subpar on my monitor. Full res on my PC isn't going to make the game any better, I just won't be able to let my friends borrow it.
