Original Crysis rated for PS3 & Xbox 360
It appears the original Crysis may be coming to the consoles, according to updated listings in Asia and on the ESRB.
"Can It Run Crysis?"
Gamers that played Crysis 2 on the PS3 or Xbox 360 unlocked the tongue-in-cheek achievement after running through the tutorial. But, while the consoles could run the CryEngine 3-powered sequel, many gamers wondered if it would be able to play the benchmark of benchmarks: the original Crysis.
It appears the original game (pictured above) may be coming to the consoles. Once again, the Korean ratings board has leaked a listing referring to an Xbox 360 version of the game. The listing, filed today, shows Electronic Arts as the publisher. The ESRB listing of the original game has also been updated to reflect both a PS3 and Xbox 360 release.
Earlier this week, a PS3 listing for Limbo was also leaked by the ratings bureau. The developer confirmed its accuracy the next day. We've also reached out to Crytek for comment, and will update if we hear back.

If Crytek are going back and re-doing Crysis for consoles, I wonder if there's any chance they will re-code the entire last level on the carrier, as it is THE buggiest chunk of software ever made. The entire game is smooth sailing up until that point, it really is a blight on an otherwise awesome game. I think it would mean a hell of a lot to their fans if they could do this for PC people.

- The lock on for the TAC cannon was badly explained, and when it was time to use it against the alien battleship it still didn't always work 100%.
- You could fall through the deck and die at random. It really doesn't matter where you were on the ship.
- Frozen (and indestructible) NPCs on the deck. Hilarious to watch an officer just stand in the doorway and watch an epic battle unfold, but unintentional.

Oh stop being a baby and switch out for a shotgun and a gauss rifle. Shotgun for the little guys, gauss rifle because it murders the big ones. There's plenty of interesting gameplay and sights for zero-gee and beyond, just as long as you don't confine yourself by using the boring silenced FY71 or running out of ammo in the cave because you didn't check the ammo caches.
