Feel that heat protruding from the uncovered window in your house/apartment/mother's basement? That's from this thing called the sun... and it wants to kill you.

Thankfully, the nice folks at Steam know how to keep gamers safe. Today, Steam kicks off another thematic sale, this time celebrating the summer. How does Steam celebrate the summer? It gives you an excuse to stay inside.

The entire summer sale runs from June 30 until July 10.

Though the service also has a number of publisher collections and bundles on sale, Steam is also offering discounts on select items daily:

Today's deals run until July 1 at 10am PT. There are also a number of achievements gamers can unlock by accomplishing certain tasks in select games. Make sure to check today's to-do list.

I never played Oblivion, love the new Fallout games though. My mother played something like 275+ hours in Oblivion, she loved it.

Looks like a cheap way to get yourself access to Battlefield 3 as well... might buy it just for that.

Everyone should have Lead & Gold at that price. It's a really well done game and a lot of fun.

Some people were saying it was a pricing error that was corrected.

Any comment on whether the Deluxe version of Oblivion is worth it over the standard GotY?

Definitely. For an extra $2 you get all of the DLC instead of just Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles.

Was going to pick up Borderlands and Oblivion but both why are these games listed differently in this article than at Steam? Here it says:
      - $7.50 (75% off from $24.99)

      But on Steam it says:
      49,99€
      12,50€

Which is almost twice the price.

That's new to me. Thanks for your reply Alastayr.

I'm not saying Borderlands isn't worth it at that price, but going from $7.5 to $20 it's no longer an impulse-buy from me. I'll pass.
