Lego City Stories announced for Wii U, 3DS
A new open-world LEGO 'em up is coming exclusively to the new Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo has announced.
The Nintendo 3DS and newly-unveiled Wii U are to receive an exclusive new LEGO game, Nintendo announced at its E3 press briefing. LEGO City Stories will be published by Nintendo together with TT Games, the folks behind the hugely popular LEGO movie adaptations.
Nintendo of America president Fils-Aime described LEGO City Stories as "a new instalment in the LEGO series," set in "a new, open-world game packed with action, humour and a whole city full of LEGO vehicles."
We'll have more details for you as they come in.

Seriously, Lego this, Lego that, .... STOP!!! Why can't I JUST HAVE LEGO. I just want infinite space and infinite LEGO and I just want to BUILD and then have people come see what I built. I don't want stories and action and so forth. Sure, let me fly and drive my LEGO creations around but just give me freedom and get out of the WAY!!!

Yes, it's very cool, I played the beta and have seen some great YouTube videos of some pretty amazing creations, including working computers.
However, it's not really want I want. The blocks are too simplistic, not sophisticated like LEGO. And then it's a world with zombies or something at night right? And you have to mine your materials?
Even if you can turn off zombies and get the material without mining there is a world there already. I want empty void, a menu of all bricks, all bricks in all colors, and just freedom to build.
So, it's cool, but I want an actual LEGO building app where I can build a city with vehicles and such. Or build working LEGO Technic models. Or build a LEGO Starwars space fleet, in space.
I've tried the LEGO cad program but it has a poor UI and browsing for bricks is horrible.
I'm not actually a big LEGO nut or anything, but if they gave me the right app I'd probably sink a lot of time into it.
