What are you playing: Detective Demon Hunter
We're tossing knives at demons and stomping down criminal enterprises left and right this weekend in another installment of "What are you Playing." Speaking of which, what are YOU playing?
There's a running theme through most of the picks this week: detectives and demon hunters. From new titles like L.A. Noire and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings to an old favorite like Demon's Souls, this week justice is being served (possibly by someone playing Diner Dash).

- Garnett Lee: I’ll be playing E3 planning and preview embargo scheduling but when time allows I’ll probably hop back on some Brink, Gatling Gears, Demon’s Souls, and who knows what else.
- Xav de Matos: Wrapping up L.A. Noire for review and probably getting in some quality time with Deus Ex: Human Revolution and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
- Alice O'Connor: With the world ending on Saturday, I'll be drinking in a public place wearing a white bedsheet. Should Sunday somehow dawn, I'll have a lot of witcher's work to catch up on, not to mention a whole floating city to liberate/oppress.
- Jeff Mattas: Witcher 2. L.A. Noire. Witcher 2. L.A. Noire. Witcher 2. L.A. Noire. Witcher 2. L.A. Noire.
- Steve Watts: It's going to be a busy weekend with non-gaming commitments, but I'll be trying to squeeze in some L.A. Noire. I've restricted myself to one case per day to watch it like a TV show, so it shouldn't be too hard to find time.
- Ozzie Mejia: Playing bits of Pokemon Black here and there, unless I get my hands on L.A. Noire. I think this is also a good weekend for me to plow through the XBLA backlog.

Why only low quality? What's your PC? Have you looked up the various fixes for common issues?
If you're running nvidia, I wrote a blog post that might help: http://linearskillz.wordpress.com/2011/05/17/the-witcher-2-performance-issue-on-nvidia-cards/ -

I like the way you think! I'm still replaying Oblivion, but only because I've still never actually finished the main quest.. Skyrim's on the way after all.
Also debating about checking out Morroblivion after that. Morrowind was, imo, a much better game (at last count, I had somewhere over 3k total hours clocked in it, compared to just a couple hundred in Oblivion)... and replaying it's setting and story in the newer engine is appealing to me.-
I am still in the middle of my first play through of Oblivion. I bought it the day it came out and I've been playing it off and on ever since. I love the game but I can't seem to finish and I can't seem to quit it. It's actually becoming a problem because I have skipped over entire RPG's like Dragon's Age and The Witcher because I feel I should finish Oblivion first. After all these year though.. I might have to just give up. There are too many other games to play and after 100 hours or so I'm not even close to finishing it I think. I keep getting distracted.

As I said in another thread Elder Scrolls games and GTA games get me to distracted. I never finish the story. I just wander about about doing whatever finding cool stuff. This is the upteenth time I'm trying to finish Morrowind. I'm actually making progress this time though. I don't even want to think about trying to finish Oblivion after this let alone have people talk about Skyrim.

(not sure if necessary to read first part) but I'm a PC only guy, and not much interest in getting a console, but no problem playing most except fps games on consoles (mostly fighting / racing games) when visit a frien.
It has been kinda funny that over the weekend so far, me and my friends went to see the newest Pirates of the Caribbean movie and then check out L.A. Noire, always same guy playing and others just watching and most giving their opinions on when interviewing / checking their story with the case, and of course with finding evidences also, been suprisingly fun just to watch it, setting is done great and just game pulls you in very well and overall just well done, and of course very nice the facial capture so of course you can try figure out if they are lying or not, and been few times (specially yesterday) going 'oh i've seen this actor / know what (s)he's from maybe or know that seen him/her somewhere but don't know the name :P don't remember on what case he/we where at but kuddos to Rockstar on this game, wouldn't be surprised if it would win at any real game awards.
So long time that I've played i think no games so far (though gonna check into DoW2: Retribution multiplayer now)
