The video game release list of 4/25-5/1

[Update: 2011-04-24 13:19] Apparently, IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover has been delayed yet again, supposedly to May 24. Assuming it doesn't get delayed again.

[Original] Next week is a quiet one for new releases, mostly bringing downloadable games. We still get a few noteworthy titles, though, including Ikaruga-ish platformer Outland, action-RPG Darkspore, and the long-overdue North American release of flight sim IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover.

  I hope Outland delivers. The hype is running pretty strong on it and I really want it to be genuine enthusiasm from the press and not just a relapse of LIMBO's undeserved praise.

        im sure if it came out in 1998 and was a pixelated mess, you'd have a magazine scan of it and think it was the best platformer since Mario 3

      Supposed to be metroidvaniay with an ikaruga/silhouette miragey bit and some bad ass art direction. I'm hoping for something on par with Shadow Complex (though not exactly like it)

    Should be delayed by a year. Game isn't finished yet. It's a shame it was shoved out the door.

    Those total gits. It's been delayed so many times that now I always pause before actually including it in Release List, but I thought this time they finally would release it. NOPE.
