The $175 tickets for Diablo and Warcraft developer Blizzard's next fan convention will go on sale in two batches on May 21 and 25.
Tickets for Blizzard's annual fan convention BlizzCon will be go on sale in late May in two lots, the developer has announced. If you're painfully desperate to go, you might want to book two days off work so you can sit in the queue.
The first batch of $175 tickets will go on sale at 10am PST on Saturday, May 21. The second round will be available on Wednesday, May 25 at 7pm PST. BlizzCon 2011 is on October 21 and 22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
Tickets for a live video stream of the event will once again be available, priced at $39.99. Virtual attendees will also receive this year's BlizzCon-exclusive World of Warcraft and StarCraft II in-game items.
The schedule for BlizzCon 2011 has yet to be revealed but Blizzard promises the usual assortment of events and activities, "including discussion panels, hands-on playtime with current and upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games, professional and casual tournaments, contests, and much more." At the very least, it'll offer your annual opportunity to play Diablo III.
Blizzard is also hosting a pre-BlizzCon dinner with $500 tickets, benefiting the Children's Hospital of Orange County. Around 200 of these will go on sale on Saturday, May 28 at 10am PST.

wow never knew blizzcon tickets cost so much .. 175 dollars a ticket :o and most people have to travel alot to get there.. blizzard is making tons of money already, and this makes 'em likely more money then to come even with this con and my uncle brought the live video stream last year to watch online and felt a little let down by it (+ nothing new 'n big to announce - well new class for diablo, but still nothing huge)

Stay at the Hilton. It's as simple as taking the elevator to the lobby, and walking across the street to get in the convention center. I don't know how many times i went back to my room to get something or drop something off. If you even think your going, reserve your room online now for a cheaper price, and if you don't get tickets you can cancel them i think 3days prior without a penalty. I went to Blizzcon 2010, i think this year i'm just going to get the Stream. I left WOW for Rift, but I still look forward to Diablo, and Starcraft.
