What are you playing: Slow It Down
Even if you can't freeze time, you have to make time to clear that pile of shame. What are you playing this weekend?
I need to find a machine that allows me to either stop or slow down time. It's all going by so fast while I pack boxes and get things ready for the move. Sadly, that also means that I don't have any time to play games at the moment.
I must live vicariously through you all, for the time being. What are you up to this weekend?

- Garnett Lee: Mostly I’ll be playing SOCOM 4 for our upcoming review. I’ll take a few breaks of course to continue Torchlight on XBLA, which I’m about two-thirds of the way through and maybe some PixelJunk Shooter 2 which I’m slowly making progress in.
- Alice O'Connor: Between seeing Tetsuya Mizuguchi talking about Child of Eden and celebrating spring with disgraceful displays of drunkenness in public parks, I'm hoping to fit in a little time for Anomaly: Warzone Earth or some Dino D-Day with the dinomaniac Chris Faylor
- Xav de Matos: Packing boxes: Game of the Year Edition.
- Jeff Mattas: Finally grabbed a copy of Crysis 2 for PC, so there’s that. I’m also making my way through Anomaly: Warzone Earth, and will probably blow myself up a few dozen more times in Motorstorm: Apocalypse.
- Steve Watts: Enjoying some birthday revelry with family and friends, and possibly visiting the Spy Museum in D.C. Still considering whether to run through shouting about spies sappin' mah sentry.
- Ozzie Mejia: Taking this weekend to catch up and finally play through Assassin Creed: Brotherhood's Da Vinci Disappearance DLC. And maybe catch a legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Black...and add it to the other 50 or so legendaries that are in this game.

Mercs 2 is terrible.
Well, the port is. The gameplay is kinda there, but not quite. You have shitty quicktime events to take over choppers/tanks and unlike Just Cause 2, they use crappy symbols and its really harsh if you fuck up or dont do them fast enough. Oh, and they left in the consoles autoaim and there are a load of other bugs that are really grating.
Mercs 1 was amazing because of the airstrikes. In Mercs 2, you basically never use them because you have to be 3 feet away from the target to call them in (worst throwing arm ever) so you end up having taken out everything anyway just to get close enough.

I don't know if you are already doing this or not but try skipping the side quests. I had a hard time sticking to this game at first but once I stopped doing the side quests it was a lot less running and the story just instantly hooked me that I couldn't stop.
Oh but there is a fancy armor side quest I wouldn't skip that starts in chapter 4 and ends in 5.
Finishing Blacks Ops single player finally this weekend. Then either Torchlight or Darksiders to finish the weekend. -
I'm on Chapter III, the performance hit (with no apparent reason whatsoever) in the Trade Quarter almost made me quit the game, but the patience has paid off so far.
Taking a bit longer than usual since I've been farming XP in the sewer's crypt and cemetery, want to hit lvl 50 before the epilogue!

I've mostly been playing my PSP, Persona 3, Disgaea, Half-Minute Hero. I did beat Borderlands on the 360 yesterday with my buddy, that was pretty fun. Too bad the ending was absolutely dumb.
I'll probably crack into Kingdom Hearts on the PSP soon. -

POP: Forgotten Sands. 1.5 hours in and I'm enjoying it so far, got it for $5 during a Steam sale a while back.

Good on ya. Not a perfect game, but lots of great moments.
If combat starts getting you down, just abuse the lunge-off-the-wall move.-
