Call of Duty 4 Tops February Console Games Sales; Wii Outsells Xbox 360, PS3
In terms of hardware, the Wii outsold the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the Nintendo DS reigning as the month's best-selling system. February hardware sales for the North American market were as follows:

- Wii - 432,000
- PlayStation 2 - 351,800
- PlayStation 3 - 280,800
- Xbox 360 - 254,600
- PSP - 243,100

- Devil May Cry 4* (Capcom, X360) - 295,200
- Wii Play (Nintendo, Wii) - 289,700
- Devil May Cry 4* (Capcom, PS3) - 233,500
- Guitar Hero III* (Vicarious Visions, Activision, Wii) - 222,900
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega, Nintendo DS) - 205,600
- Lost Odyssey (feelplus, Microsoft, X360) - 203,600
- Turok (Propaganda Games, Touchstone, X360) - 197,700
- Guitar Hero III* (Budcat, Activision, PS2) - 183,800
- Rock Band* (Harmonix, MTV Games/EA, X360) - 161,800

In all, the North American video game market amassed $1.33 billion in sales during February 2008, showing a 34% growth over last February. Of that figure, hardware accounted for $480M, with software responsible for $668.7M and accessory sales making up the remaining $185.3M.
