Mario Party Superstars announced at Nintendo Direct E3 2021
A new Mario Party experience has been announced at E3 2021 with Mario Party Superstars.
Nintendo shared news and updates on several video games coming to the Switch this year at its E3 2021 Direct. It was during the Nintendo Direct at E3 2021 that the company announced Mario Party Superstars, a new release featuring levels and minigames from past entries in the series.
Mario Party Superstars was announced alongside a brand new trailer at the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct. Identical to the design and art style of Super Mario Party, this game collects several of the most popular stages and minigames from throughout the extensive history of Mario Party games, giving them a nice and shiny update.
Mario Party Superstars features five boards from the N64 era of the series, including Peach’s Birthday Cake and Space Land. There are 100 minigames from the Mario Party series, all of which have been configured to accept button controls, meaning you won’t have to use some strange peripheral or controller to play.
Not only are these classic Mario Party boards and minigames getting a visual upgrade, they’re also getting online support, a feature that just recently made its way to Super Mario Party. This will allow you to enjoy the craziness of Mario Party with friends without physically being together. There is also a matchmaking feature that will allow you to play games with random players around the world.
Mario Party Superstars releases for the Nintendo Switch on October 29, 2021. The new party game was just one of several surprises that Nintendo had up its sleeve during the E3 2021 Direct.
