Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes & Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising announced
Eiyuden Chronicle fans scored a two-for-one deal when Hundred Heroes and Rising were announced.
Fans of Suikoden were rather pleased to see that a spiritual successor, in the form of Eiyuden Chronicles, made its way to Kickstarter back in 2020. Since then, those that have been keeping their finger on the pulse will no doubt be chomping at the bit for more information. Thankfully, that time has come as Xbox unveils not one, but two Eiyuden Chronicle titles at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021. Please, take a gander at the magical trailer below.
Though Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was the main focus of the trailer, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising also featured a shout-out at the end. Not much was given much away about Rising, but it looks to be a different kind of genre despite having the same visuals.
As for Hundred Heroes, the trailer introduced players to a few of the notable characters that will be joining them on their journey. There’s Nowa the brash guard, Seign Kesling an imperial officer, and the Guardian Marisa. There looks to be a whole lot more characters, though that’s all we got for now.
Eiyuden Chronicle features the truly unique and adorable artstyle of a little pixel character exploring rich, 3-dimensional worlds. The visual style, which shot into the cultural zeitgeist with Octopath Traveler, has made itself a household staple.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is due out in 2022 while & Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is coming in 2023 – so still a bit to wait for the main entry. Take a moment to look over the Shacknews Xbox & Bethesda tag for everything else announced during E3 2021.
