Death Stranding Director's Cut announced at Summer Game Fest 2021
The greatest Strand Game is receiving a Director's Cut.
Death Stranding was rather prophetic with its setting. It released at the end of 2019, only a few months before the world was thrust into a pandemic thanks to COVID-19. And now, it seems that players are in store for a treat, as Hideo Kojima revealed at Summer Game Fest 2021 the existence of Death Stranding Director’s Cut.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut
After getting to witness a private moment between BFFs Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima, the man behind such mind-bending titles as Metal Gear Solid and now Death Stranding revealed that the latter would be receiving a Director’s Cut. The trailer for the Death Stranding Director’s Cut can be seen below.
The description from the above trailer reveals that the Director’s Cut is the “definitive” version of the game which is “expanded and remastered for the PlayStation 5”. It seems as if Kojima has more to tell us about the world Sam Porter Bridges struggles through.
The existence of the Director’s Cut was actually speculated on back in January 2021. A ResetEra user by the name of Navtra predicted that an “Extended Edition” featuring new story content was planned. It turns out there was some weight to the claims made by Navtra.
Be sure to keep it locked to Shacknews for the latest on Death Stranding, including the Death Stranding Director’s Cut, which will no doubt give us more insight into the apocalyptic world.
