Disco Elysium - The Final Cut announced for 2021
One of the best RPGs ever made will be making its way to Switch and next-gen systems.
Disco Elysium took the PC world by storm back in 2019. The game featured an extraordinary story, setting and narrative, all while revitalizing the RPG genre. Players have been waiting a long time for a console port and now that is finally on the table with Disco Elysium – The Final Cut. Check out the announcement trailer below.
The Final Cut version of Disco Elysium boasts new political vision quests that take you to an entirely new area, full controller support, full voice acting for all the character lines, and more. Players that already own Disco Elysium will be able to enjoy the Final Cut for free.
Anyone that's interested in getting Disco Elysium can pre-order a collector’s edition of the game which features a gorgeous artbook, a double-sided map of Martinaise, a statue of the character’s psyche brought to life, a soundtrack, and of course the game on your platform of choice.
As one of the best games of 2019, I’m personally very excited that even more people will get to play it. Here’s what I had to say in my Disco Elysium review:
It’s not very often that a game of this calibre comes along. Disco Elysium is mad with psychedelic energy, unabashedly dramatic, and dangerously well-written. I wish, like the detective, I could forget all about Disco Elysium, if only to experience it again as if for the first time. It’s truly one of the greatest RPGs ever released.
Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is scheduled to release March 2021 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and later in the summer on Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
