Ever wanted to revitalize a broken-down old bed and breakfast? You can do just that here, and with bears.
Ever wanted to own a bed and breakfast? How about one ran by a bear? Bear and Breakfast is a management game that debuted today during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase presentation, and it looks absolutely adorable.
Players are charged with taking a dilapidated bed and breakfast and transforming it into something fun as well as functional. You'll be responsible for a major transformation as you build out your space and work to please customers. How it could be possible to not make customers smile when the business is run by a bear is beyond me, but some people are fickle.
As you grow, you'll have the option for more side quests, meeting new characters, and opening up new areas of the story. Beyond all that, there may be some true weirdness afoot. Keep expanding and you'll find all kinds of intriguing mysteries of the forest. This includes some potentially sinister sights in the forest, but the happy-go-lucky trailer seems happy to gloss over this. We'll have to investigate when able.
Bear and Breakfast is a timed exclusive on Switch, so if you want to play it and don't the console, just chill for a bit and you'll be able to try it elsewhere eventually. Right now, there's no official release date just yet, but we should be able to try it out very soon. In the meantime, check out some of the other indies that debuted today.
