Astro-Bot spinoff Astro's Playroom confirmed for PS5
The cutest robot PlayStation has ever created returns for an encore in Astro's Playroom, which looks like an adorable excursion.
If you're planning on picking up a PlayStation 5 and aren't sure what to play first, consider trying out Astro's Playroom. This charming little game is a free title that will come packaged with every PlayStation 5 for free. However, it doesn't appear that it will support PlayStation VR, unless the trailer just didn't mention it.
Astro is something of a newer mascot for PlayStation, and previously appeared in an excellent VR platformer, Astro-Bot: Rescue Mission. Here's the official description from Sony:
"Astro and his crew lead you on a magical introduction through PS5 in this fun platformer that comes pre-loaded on PS5. Explore four worlds, each based on PS5’s console components. Each area showcases innovative gameplay that taps into the new features of the PS5’s DualSense wireless controller. Astro’s Playroom is coming to PlayStation 5."
There isn't a lot you can glean from the debut trailer about what Astro's Playroom will contain, but it certainly looks cute enough. It's still possible that in the future it will be compatible with PlayStation VR, but we've yet to see how that will look on the system, either. Here's to seeing more of that adorable little Astro, though!
