Those looking forward to seeing how Google fares in the cloud gaming world won't have to wait much longer. Google Stadia finally has a release date and it's coming far sooner than anyone would have guessed. Set to arrive next month, Google Stadia will release on November 19, 2019.

The news came during today’s Made by Google event, which also showcased new Nest features and devices, as well as the brand-new Pixel 4 phone from Google. It’s a good time to be a fan of Google’s hardware, as the tech giant is ever-expanding and making things even better for its users.

With Stadia set to release so soon, though, it really makes us wonder just how good the Google cloud gaming platform is going to be. We still have our reservations about it, all things considered, but we’re definitely intrigued to see what Google does differently about cloud gaming.

Google Stadia release date

If you haven’t looked into Google Stadia at all, the basic idea behind it is to allow gamers to play their games anywhere, on any screen without having to worry about having a console nearby or anything like that. It’s a great idea if they can pull it off.

Google Stadia is planned to arrive next month and will cost users $129 to preorder right now on the Google Stadia website. We’ll keep an eye out for any additional information pertaining to the new cloud gaming service. You can also check out more details surrounding the Google Pixel 4, which includes a ton of camera enhancements and a sick voice recorder application that can transcribe your voice recordings live, without being connected to the network.
