Playground and Creative playlists disabled ahead of Fortnite event
The Playground and Creative playlists have been disabled ahead of today's scheduled event in Fortnite.
Today marks 'The End' for Fortnite, according to a Tweet shared on the game's official Twitter yesterday, and the days leading up to this weekend. What exactly 'The End' is isn't very clear yet, though many are waiting on the edge of their seats to learn more. In fact, the latest developments show that Epic has disabled the Playground and Creative playlists ahead of the event.
This is usually pretty par for the course with any live events of the sort, as Fortnite developer Epic Games usually tries to push as many players into the basic playlists as possible for these special occasions. If you're not really a fan of the main Battle Royale portion, then this is probably disappointing news for you, but we're sure that Epic will have things up and running against in no time.
The latest tweet we have teasing 'The End' states that it's near, following by "24 hours..." That tweet was posted roughly 22 hours ago at the time of this writing, which means Fortnite fans won't have to wait long. There has been quite a bit of speculation about what exactly the next "chapter" of Fortnite will include. Is this simply a season changeover for Season 11? Or are the leaks about Fortnite Chapter 2 actually real? There's only one way to find out and that, unfortunately, requires a bit of patience.
We've got our eyes peeled for any news about the upcoming changes to Fortnite, so make sure you keep up with everything in our Fortnite hub. You can also follow Shacknews on Twitter to be advised of any stories we post at any time. Furthermore, make sure you also follow Fortnite on Twitter, as the team at Epic Games is also sharing information about new content and the like directly with the community.
