Unboxing & Review: Beast Wars Megatron Masterpiece MP-43

Shacknews Video Editor Greg Burke unwraps his most expensive toy to date - an imported Beast Wars figure with a fun-sized toothbrush.

In my years of acquiring collectibles and toys, I have yet to invest so much cash into a single transaction as I have for the Beast Wars Megatron Masterpiece MP-43. Based on my favorite show growing up, the figure set includes a hobby-quality reproduction of Megatron, complete with various accessories from Season One episodes of the show.

Produced for the Japanese market, the Beast Wars Megatron Masterpiece MP-43 had to be imported to North America before it arrived on my doorstep. Once I got the package inside, I filmed the unboxing and could hardly contain my excitement.

As the Megatron figure is produced by Takara Tomy, you know the level of quality will be high. The figure features an insanely high number of points of articulation and it is possible to completely transform it, just like on the show. I was hesitant while working with the figure for the first time as I did not want to break my most expensive collector item the same day I opened it, but I figured everything out.

The Beast Wars Megatron Masterpiece MP-43 is made from a plastic cast that is fully poseable, can be fully transformed from a robot to a dinosaur, and also has an optional stand from Takara Tomy available to purchase separately.
