Also...anyone want an original Rift + touch + three sensor setup? It's still really nice, just redundant!

While the refresh rate isn't as high, the Quest's resolution and reduced halo artifacts feel like a real upgrade from the CV1 - I found myself using it less and less after getting the Quest.

I'm going to wait for the reviews of how it works, but that would get me to get a Quest. :)

I was hoping for a wireless solution, but I imagine this'll work fine. But sure, waiting for reviews is always good.

I also wouldn't rule out an eventual wireless solution from them just to get around router weirdness.

The Quest was already my headset of choice even before this.

That's awesome, as many predicted it sounds like they are pouring all resources into Quest going forward.

Yeah I am sure it is selling like hot cakes.

The Quest is for sure the right direction for VR. Wires are just such a huge pain in the ass, even if you have the expensive gaming PC. I couldn't use room scale because I only have space in my living room which is not near my PC.

Yeah I agree regarding VR adoption, larger market will attract more devs etc. I just hope we continue to have high-end headset options going forward, at the expense of being super expensive or tethered.

What happens when the fingers go behind the other fingers/palm and the sensors no longer detect them? Will the virtual hand freak out like every other device with this same limitation does?

There are several trackers that can solve for that now. They have a skeletal model of your hands and can make assumptions based on that.

Neat, but USB-C from what on your PC? HDMI I suppose, though DisplayPort should work.

Mine was not issue free, but my network setup isn't really ideal. That'll be changing in the next month or so.

I really hope the part where Zuckerberg said they took into account moving around with the wire is actually going to be implemented in the link.
