First footage of Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest event emerges
The first details about the upcoming Borderlands 3 Halloween event are finally here.
Borderlands 3 is getting a special Halloween-themed event in the form of Bloody Harvest, as revealed during the first episode of the official Borderlands Show.
During the first episode of the show, it was revealed that a free new Halloween event called Bloody Harvest will launch next month and run for a limited time. The event will feature a whole new series of character skins, new enemies, environments, Legendary weapons, and a new boss battle.
All players can participate when the event starts in October, but you'll have to hunt downside ghosts before you can enter the Bloody Harvest map. You'll start seeing Haunted enemies throughout the world, which are the key to accessing a new map.
Ghosts will rise from the bodies of the Haunted, and if you get too close, you'll be afflicted with the Terror debut. Terror will cover your sight with a mist, and your gun handling and speed will be affected. You'll earn Hecktoplasm as you travel throughout the world, then you can turn it in to Maurice, your new friend aboard the Sanctuary III.
You'll eventually earn entry into the Bloody Harvest map, where Rakk-O'-Lanterns soar through the skies, blood rivers reign, and Maliwan enemies are waiting to put you in a graveyard. When you reach the end of the event you'll face off against the Baron of Bloody Harvest. Your rewards: Plenty of new duds, including skins, Legendary loot, and more. There's additional info to be found on the official announcement blog.
Previously, Josh Hawkins reviewed Borderlands 3, awarding it a 9 out of 10:
The Borderlands formula might be a bit dated with its raunchy jokes and cheesy dialogue, but that doesn’t change that it is a formula that keeps reeling players back in again and again. Despite the fact that I’ve already logged over 40 hours in the game, I still can't help but feel the want to dive back in with a new character just to experience it all again. But beating the campaign doesn’t bring the story to an end. There’s still plenty of great content to devour after that final boss fight, including True Vault Hunter mode, and plenty of great side quests featuring some of the best characters ever found in the series. Whether you’re an old fan who has played all the previous games, or a brand-new fan just diving into the series, Borderlands 3 is an absolute masterpiece that will bring you hours upon hours of fun.
The next episode of the Borderlands Show will be going up around October 22, but the new event will be starting before then. Keep checking back for more details.
