Elite Dangerous debuts new Starter Experience in September Update
Check out all the changes that have arrived with the new update!
Elite Dangerous's September Update is here, with a new set of content that players can jump into now.
Among some of the updates is a new Starter Experience that offers a fully-voiced introduction for new players to learn basic flight controls, navigation, combat, and a litany of other things. More experienced players can also dig into new Livery System options and ARX virtual currency, so they're not stuck with all the newbie business.
As covered in the update video below, the New Starter Experience comes with information on all the newbie aspects of the game above, including how to complete your first Hyperspace jump, how to dock at a starwort, and information about the new livery system.
The ARX Virtual Currency can be purchased or earned by playing the game, and it can be used to get Game Extras like Paint Jobs, Ship Kits, Bobbleheads and more. You won't be able to purchase Game Extras with current payment methods anymore, and you'll have to use ARX instead, which will be available in a variety of different packs.
Of course, the game will be experiencing some downtime for the store, servers, and the new update, which you'll have to unfortunately deal with if you want to get in and have some fun.
For any Elite Dangerous fans out there, are you going to be jumping in and checking out all the new changes? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.
