If you want to farm for Legendaries fast, then you’re going to want to take advantage of this option while it’s available. Due to how exploit-like it feels, it’s possible that Gearbox will patch this particular farming spot as quickly as possible. While there are a lot of spots out there that are solid for farming, we’ve had the most luck with this particular location.
To find the “loot cave” in Borderlands 3, make your way over to the Jakobs Estate on Eden-6. Once here, head to the waypoint that we have marked on the map below. You’ll need to run through a series of enemies to get there, so make sure you have plenty of health to survive. Don’t bother fighting, just run until you reach the area that we have marked on the map. At this point, you’ll have triggered a save point nearby. This means you can exit to the main menu and then reload back into the game nearby to get rid of any aggro you might have pulled on your way here.
After reloading the game, head across the bridge into the area that we marked and look for a Hoarder Tink on the left-hand side of the area, just at the bottom of the steps. Kill him as quickly as possible and he should drop some loot, as well as a bag that you can open up to loot even more goodies. You can then kill, loot, and reload the game to continuously farm this particular Hoarder Tink, as it is a guaranteed spawn.
The trick to earning loads of Legendries at this farming location, though, is to make sure you are playing the game on Mayhem III. This is unlocked after you complete the main story in the game. You can activate it from Sanctuary III, and it will make enemies much harder to kill, while also bumping the amount of experience, Eridium, and loot drops that you can acquire. While you can complete the farming method on Mayhem I or Mayhem II, the higher loot drop rate on Mayhem III makes it the best possible option.
Now that you know where to find the loot cave, head back over to our Borderlands 3 guide and FAQ. Make sure to take advantage of this farming option before Gearbox patches it, as we’re sure that an update in the next few days will probably remove it. We will update this article when that happens.
