Where to find saved screenshots in Borderlands 3
Any screenshots you take using Borderlands 3's photo mode have their own specific save location. Learn where to find this elusive folder so you can look at your images.
Borderlands 3 includes a pretty robust photo mode, but locating these screenshots can be a challenge. For players on PC, if the game is installed in a location that isn’t the default option, it can take a while to actually find the correct folder. After some searching, we’ve managed to locate our own screenshot folder, so here’s some places you can look.
Where to find your Borderlands 3 saved screenshots
The Photo Mode in Borderlands 3 offers players a means of saving their favorite moments. After taking a screenshot, a little pop-up appears on the screen informing you that it has in fact been saved. But the problem is that it doesn’t offer a file location.
Depending on how your PC is set up, your Borderlands 3 screenshots may be in slightly different harddrive location. The specific folders will be the same, but the drive you must navigate to or the location of your “My Documents” and “My Games” folders might be slightly different.
The folder you need to find is My Games. This is either in your My Documents (sometimes just “Documents”) or found via the C drive’s User folder.
- My Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\Saved\Screenshots\WindowsNoEditor
- C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\Saved\Screenshots\WindowsNoEditor
As you can see, the last few folders are all the same, it’s just how you reach the My Games folder that will be different. These differences are due to how you chose to install Borderlands 3. If you left the default settings, it will likely be the second option.
Remember you will need to hide the UI when using photo mode. The system does not automatically hide the menu box when you take a screenshot. Best to learn this quickly before you find your screenshots and discover the menu is covering all the action.
Locating the folder where your Borderlands 3 screenshots are saved can be a bit of pain. Thankfully, you can now find your holiday snaps to show all your friends. Be sure to catch a ride over to the Shacknews Borderlands 3 guide and FAQ for even more helpful tips.
