Brachydios weakness - Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
There is only one major Brachydios weakness to exploit in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne puts players up against some tough monsters without much information on how to hunt them, such is the case with Brachydios. The game doesn’t tell you what its weakness is the first time you face off against it, making weapon selection rather tough. Luckily, we fought it blind so that you don’t have to, so here’s the Brachydios weakness you’ve been looking for.
Brachydios weakness
Brachydios is weak to the Ice element more than any others, but there are a few options for players that don’t have an Ice weapon. Take a full look at the list of elements and ailments that Brachydios is weak to below.
Elements
- Fire: 0
- Water: 2
- Thunder: 1
- Ice: 3
- Dragon: 1
Ailments
- Poison: 2
- Sleep: 2
- Paralysis: 2
- Blast: 1
- Stun: 2
Ice is the optimal element to use against Brachydios. Luckily, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne gives you a good option for an Ice weapon early on. The Xiphias Gladius Great Sword is fantastic, and players can get the base version, the Frozen Speartuna, rather easily. Check out the guide we linked above for more details on how to obtain it.
Once you’ve got your Ice element weapon and are ready to fight Brachydios, target the head, arms, and tail of this monster. The tail can be severed and doing so will make this fight a bit easier. Taking the tail off a large monster is always a good way to eliminate one of the ways it typically attacks you. Easier said than done, I know, but it’s good to have goals.
