Guild Wars 2 reveals new Living World chapter 'The Icebrood Saga' at PAX West

Guild Wars 2 fans can prepare for a brand-new living story, and returning players can pick up the last two expansions for a nice discount.

PAX West is already starting off with a bang. Today, ArenaNet, the developers behind the very popular MMO, Guild Wars 2 announced a new upcoming Living World chapter titled ‘The Icebrood Saga’. On top of announcing the new storyline, though, ArenaNet also revealed that those who currently own the Path of Fire expansion, or who pick it up now, will receive the Heart of Thorns expansion absolutely free.

If you’ve been looking for a good time to get into Guild Wars 2, or just waiting on the expansions to go on sale, then now is your chance to strike. Being able to get both Path of Fire and Heart of Thorns for one price is a huge deal and one that you aren’t going to want to miss out on. According to the official press release shared by ArenaNet, The Icebrood Saga will introduce new Strike Missions—epic 10-person boss encounters—as well as new boss creatures that will appear in the Grothmar Valley and Northern Shiverpeaks environments. There will also be new Masteries available in both Episode One and Episode Two of the Living World chapter, which will explore the Spirits of the Wild.
