Epic Games has made it their mission to offer Fortnite players across the world the chance to participate in competitive modes and play for cash. With the World Cup in the rear view mirror, players are on the hunt for new opportunities to put their skills to the test and earn rewards. The solos cash cup will pit the best of the best against each other for a number of money rewards. It all starts today when the first solos cash cup kicks off in Fortnite Battle Royale.

The solos cash cups differs from previous Fortnite competitive events in that each round only lasts for a day, rather than being drawn out over several days/weeks. Because of this, the prizes are also lower compared to other tournaments and events.

Contenders prizes

Top 10: $200

4th: $250

3rd: $350

2nd: $450

1st: $750

This makes the solos cash cup less of a grindy time commitment, and something you can just dedicate one evening of playing towards. Once you’re in game, points are distributed based on placement and eliminations.

Elimination: 1 point

Top 25: 3 points

Top 15: 2 points

Top 5: 2 points

Victory Royale: 3 points

Epic Games took to social media today to announce that the solos cash cup will be delayed on Asian and Oceanic servers while they investigate an ongoing issue. Prizes for these matches will be moved to next week's solo contenders cash cup

There will be a round of solos cash cup ran every wednesday and thursday starting this week all the way through the first week of October. To be eligible to play on Wednesdays, you will have to have reached the contenders league in arena mode. Meanwhile, Thursday’s tournament requires entrants to be in the champions league.
