Borderlands 3 Proving Grounds mode shown at Gamescom 2019

As the game's release approaches, Borderlands 3 various modes are being shown, including the new Proving Grounds.

The folks over at Gearbox Software made the trek to Germany for Gamescom 2019 to show off some new stuff for Borderlands 3. During the Opening Night Live show, the team took the wraps off Proving Grounds. This new game mode tasks vault hunters with finding Eridian throughout the game’s campaign, which can be used to unlock access to arena-based encounters scattered across various planets. Borderlands 3 is expected to ship with six different Proving Grounds arenas.
