Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition launches November for Xbox and PC
Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will be arriving in all its 4K glory on PC and Xbox this coming November.
Gamescom has barely even begun and new is already pouring out from the event. That’s in no small part thanks to today’s Inside Xbox Live that came to us directly from the show. While there were many awesome news stories coming out of the event one major bit of info concerning one of the biggest strategy games of all time should have fans pumped. The highly-anticipated Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will be launching on November 14 for PC and Xbox One.
For players who already own the standard Age of Empires 2 game on Steam, Valve will be offering a 25% discount to those who want to upgrade to the Definitive Edition. Fans will also be treated to a bonus campaign, The Last Khans, as an incentive if they choose to pick up the newly remastered version for the PC or Xbox One console.
Age of Empires 2 is highly regarded as one of the greatest real-time strategy games ever made and shot the franchise to new heights. It was definitely a pinnacle for the series overall and giving it an updated makeover is a smart move on Microsoft’s part. If you didn’t get a chance to play it when it first came out or you’re just looking for an excuse to go back and revisit it, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition is set to launch on Xbox One consoles and PC on November 14 along with all the Last Khans bonus content.
