Warhammer Vermintide 2 - Winds of Magic DLC releases next week

The world of Vermintide is set to get even bigger with the release of the Vermintide 2 - Winds of Magic DLC next week.

Since the release of the first Vermintide game back in 2015, fans of the looter RPG have been begging Fatshark to expand on the universe with new enemies and the sort. Now, it looks like the community is finally getting its dream come true as Vermintide 2 - Winds of Magic is set to release next week with a brand-new enemy, new maps, and even more challenges.

Whether you’ve been playing Vermintide 2 every day, or just occasionally returning to the Skaven-infested world every few months, Winds of Magic is looking to be a DLC well worth diving into. Featuring a brand-new enemy faction, the Beastmen, as well as a new level called Dark Omens, Winds of Magic will be the first expansion to hit the Vermintide sequel since its release. The DLC also brings a raised level cap, new talents, and a series of new weapons for our heroes to acquire.

On top of all of this, the DLC will include a new game mode called Winds, as well as a new difficulty for players to master. The Leaderboards will also make a debut in the DLC, which will make competitive runs of the various levels that much more enticing for speedrunners. The Winds of Magic DLC is available right now via Steam for $19.99. If you want, you can check out the release trailer, which we’ve included above for your convenience. Preordering the DLC will automatically enter you into the beta, which is set to take place until the DLC's release next week.

There’s no doubt that Vermintide 2 - Winds of Magic has more than enough to entice players to return to the Skaven-infested lands that they once roamed. Grab your friends, settle down in your comfy chair, and prepare to face the new Beastmen as they rush to lay claim to a massive meteor that has crashed in the Reikland.
