Extinguish Them bounty in Destiny 2

Start hunting and killing the right type of High-Value Targets to complete the Extinguish Them bounty in Destiny 2 during Solstice of Heroes.

Extinguish Them is one of the bounties offered by Eva Levante during Solstice of Heroes in Destiny 2. This bounty tasks players with hunting down some High-Value Targets in exchange for Solstice Key Fragments. It’s not immediately obvious what you must kill to complete this, as it needs a very specific type of enemy. Thankfully, once you know what to do, it’s rather simple, it just requires a bit of patience.

How to do the Extinguish Them bounty

To complete the Extinguish Them bounty, you must defeat High-Value Targets all over the system. This does not mean yellow-health enemies. The enemies you must kill are the randomly spawning mini bosses, specifically the roaming enemies that spawn infrequently.

These mini bosses appear on all planets. A good example would be the Fallen Captain that spawns on Nessus near the Exodus Black. This Captain spawns every 5 to 10 minutes, so you may spend a bit of time waiting around.

It’s also important that you kill these roaming High-Value Targets with the correct subclass. For the Extinguish Them bounty on July 30^th, you must have a Solar subclass equipped. If you kill one of these bosses with the incorrect subclass, it will not count towards the total.

The bounty requires you kill three of these roaming bosses, so you will need to spend quite a bit of time in patrol looking for them. The reward for completing this is five Solstice Key Fragments, which is an excellent way of getting more of these.

Completing the Extinguish Them bounty in Destiny 2 isn’t too hard. You merely have to kill a High-Value Target. The only difficulty is actually knowing what Destiny 2 classifies as a High-Value Target. So long as you’re killing the randomly spawning roaming bosses (and have the right subclass), you should get all three kills in no time at all.
