Amazon is looking to extend its brand to every major entertainment medium in the modern age. Amazon Prime Video serves as their response to streaming service giants Netflix and Hulu. In the past couple of years, Amazon has made an effort to create some original programming for their platform in order to encourage consumers to use their streaming service over competitors. One of their latest original products is The Boys, a comic book adaptation looking to put its own spin on the genre. We spoke with Karl Urban at San Diego Comic Con about his career, The Boys, and video games.

In the interview below, Karl Urban talks about his prolific acting career. Urban has starred in Lord of The Rings, Judge Dredd, and a handful of other beloved pop culture properties. When asked how it feels to be apart of so many universes, Urban admitted that it’s not something that really crosses his mind until he’s at an event like SDCC. “It’s fun to be able to work on projects that reach an audience that appreciates them as much as these fans do.”

Karl Urban also plays a starring role in Prime Video’s upcoming adaptation of The Boys. This graphic and adult take on common comic book tropes spoofs the genre while also adding something fresh to it. We asked Karl Urban what would a video game based on The Boys look like if he was in charge. Urban confessed that he’s not much of a gamer, but he imagined The Boys playing like Red Dead Redemption; an open world RPG where players can go where they want and do what they want.
