If you’re interested in Minecraft Earth, the new augmented reality game that’s set to bring the world of Minecraft to life like never before, then you’ve probably got some questions. Most notably, you’re probably curious to know what Minecraft Earth’s release date is, and even how much the game will be to purchase. The good news? We’ve got the answers and we can help. Here’s what you need to know.

Minecraft Earth release date and price

There’s no solid release date for Minecraft Earth just yet, though the Frequently Asked Questions page on the official Minecraft website states that the game’s closed beta will start rolling out sometime this summer, with the closed beta now available on iOS in Seattle and London. Considering the mobile focus of Minecraft Earth, many iOS and Android owners are curious to know exactly how much the upcoming Minecraft augmented reality experience is going to run them. Fortunately, the game itself is going to be free, and there aren’t any plans for loot boxes of any kind. There haven’t been any mentions of any additional types of microtransactions, though, so expect more information about that to become available as the game becomes more readily available.
